I paid $1,570 to have 2 wing back chairs reuphoistered and 2 miner jobs. The work at firtst appeaed excellant but a few months later for no apparent reason one of the chairs began to fall apart. There is stiching between the wing and the arm rest that has seperated. Because no one has sat in this chair I don't know why the stitching has failed. I have called ABC repeately but have been ignored with no explanation and my request for a service call has gone unanswered. I know that the owner has been ill but the partner told me that he was trying to buy the business. I am at a loss as what to do about the gaping hole on my chair. If you are planning to use this business please beware as they do not guarantee their work. I am left with a problem that I will have to call another upholstery business to repair my chair.
We have had work done here for many years. Rear seat of a restored Chevy Impala - perfect job! Four dining room chairs (seats) done very nicely. Three wing chairs were restored to new life as they, and their cushions, were completely recovered. Workmanship of this quality is not easy to find these days. I hope he NEVER goes out of business!
