This is where my wife and I buy our groceries. Everything here is as expected except the meat section, which is terrible. We go to a completely different grocery store to buy meat. The ground beef goes bad so fast! Within a day or two of purchase the meat is brown and smells awful. Other stores' ground beef lasts days and days longer. We have found discolored/rotten ground beef on the shelves at this stop and shop. We have unwittingly bought putrid chicken breast here in the past. The family packs of chicken breasts usually have four enormous steroid fed, stringy and tasteless breasts rather than six normal breasts found at other supermarkets. Steak is cut thin and poor quality.
This is the best stop and shop in southeastern Connecticut by far! Not too big and not too small. Great selection of food and amazing deals. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to make your shopping experience better. This stop and shop also features a Starbucks (with amazing staff), a florist, bakery, and seafood section.
I always love the variety at stop and shop they have everything for special dietary needs. Lactose intolerant stuff and gluten free options.

Prices are lower than some other supermarkets, and the produce is generally fresher. Self checkout is great as long as you don't get behind someone who has never used it before.
