Great place, I used to go there twice a week and bring friends with me, but ever since they started not to allow tips on credit cards or debit cards, several times we felt bad not to be able to leave tips and the inconvenience to go to the ATM to retrieve tip money for the great staff, I think management is causing people not to go there simply because I don't feel like paying an extra fee just to take money out for tips. Management need to address this issue and look out for what's best for the costumers and employees instead of trying to squeeze $3 for every ATM transaction.
Great place for a cold beer and cheap food. Staff is great, also has ample darts/billards/table tennis area.
I love the Derby. I've had some great times with some great friends at this place! Kind of a 'dive' bar of sorts. Just my kind of joint! Everyone is friendly. It's clean. Plenty of pool tables, darts, a ping pong table, even corn hole. There are some tv's around but nothing special if your looking to watch the big game or anything. They have some great bands that make a night out at the Derby totally worthwhile. The food is good, not great but hell, the fries are awesome and the portions are huge.
Owners are awesome. Staff is very friendly. Food is really yummy! Always a fun time for a quick bite or a night out.
We now remember why we only eat the tacos, French fries, wings and hotdogs. Had Mexican dishes; I had a beef enchilada which looked like a burrito tasted like ground hamburg I was also supposed to have cheese in it , Brown hard rice, canned green beans, nachos had melted American cheese and a spoonful of canned refried beans but the taco was very good. The other dish was a fried beef chimichanga with sauce on top not any better and the same rice. Food was dropped off to only hear the waitress in deep conversation for a long time, never missed a beat when she yelled out to my husband "honey would you like a refill on that beer"! As she continued till he walked up to pay at the counter. Please note to waitresses don't call our boyfriends/husbands or ourselves cute names be professional we don't know you and if we did we still don't want you to speak to us like that!!
